A New Year - 2022

I tend to collect things...  whenever I see a new something... be it a tool, creative technique, glaze or glazing process, project idea, etc, I want to try it.  This has been fabulous for my creativity and teaching, but it has
resulted in my studio just about bursting at the seams.  I also tend to pick things up when they are a good deal, such a glazes, and collect items that will be good to shape clay around, or in or items that will make interesting texture on a piece of clay. You get the idea.  While I prefer 'collector', rather than 'hoarder', it has occurred to me that if I ever needed to move my studio, it would be a disaster.  And, if I had to move in a short time or any great distance, I would likely need to part with many of my treasured items.  So, to avoid that ever happening, I've decided that 2018 is the time to use up all my odds and ends in a creative way - either in my own work of with my students.

I am a potter (and I dabble in knitting and sewing as well) in the Seattle, WA area.  I teach pottery classes through my own business, Revel in Clay, and at the Northwest Art Center in Duvall, WA.
